Elizabeth Stenstrom of L Salon is firm in her belief that the consultation is the most crucial part of the process.  “Anyone can cut hair, but the most important part is communicating with your client.  It can be the world’s best hair cut, but if it’s not suitable to the face it won’t work,” says Stenstrom.  The give and take between stylist and client is essential, and on display in the Layered A-Line Bob created by L Salon for this issue.  In her conversations with the model, Stenstrom listened to what she desired, and then explained to her how she would modify the look to compliment her texture and features.  “What I am trying to do is bring out the best of her features,” explains Stenstrom, whose decisions to create a little separation in the bangs was effective in opening up the face.  Says Stenstrom, “When she came in she didn’t have that many layers.  She needed softness on her features, so we took a blunt bob and added softness to it
