Ruler-straight hair falling well past the shoulder, often sans fringe, has emerged as a major trend worth trying.  A prime example is this almost to the waist length mane with pieced-out ends.  One key to the style is flat-ironing to keep the surface bend-free.  Just be sure you prep each section with a thermal protectant before you begin.
